Recovery Day Nutrition: What to Eat After Training

Rest days aren't 'off' days for your nutrition — this is when most of your muscle repair and adaptation actually happens.
Keep your protein intake consistent even on non-training days, spread across 3-4 meals to support ongoing muscle repair.
Don't drastically cut carbs on rest days — they help replenish muscle glycogen that was used up during training, setting you up for your next session.
Hydration and electrolytes matter here too, especially if you trained hard the day before. A pinch of salt, water and a piece of fruit can go a long way.
Consider a wellness or recovery-focused supplement — like omega-3s or a herbal immunity formula — as part of your rest-day routine to support overall recovery, not just muscle recovery.
